We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and make all our lives better.
We are a spiritual community with a goal for helping each and every one of us develop our faith and relationship with our Creator. We strive to be a spiritual home, where our Creator gave us diversity, not 2-Camp Division. We have been called to live without the ancient belief and social rule of
"if you're not-----, then you must be -----."
We find this kind of thinking abusive and oppressive.
We our educating ourselves and others out of "Binism" - the binary thinking process that says life must be "yes" or "no", "right" or "wrong", "good" or "bad" - we all know that if that was the case 90% of the world would not be acceptable to someone. Come experience the part of life where we celebrate that we are a salad of diversity and not a melting pot of one good and one bad.
We know our differences among ourselves as GIFTS and not as curses!
We want to welcome anyone who wishes to come explore their faith, to come join us for a faith experience at Redeemer MCC. We strive to be a multi-faith, multicultural and multi-lingual community. We are here to celebrate the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersexual, Queer, Questioning & Straight-Affirming communities of our Creator, God.
We practice and preach an affirmation of all people. There are no exclusions or exceptions. We feel we are all called to celebrate who we are and who we are created to be.
Here at Redeemer MCC you have the chance to let go of the old, abusive, sexist traditions that have told us for so long "you can't be ..." , or "you aren't good enough...".
We know that kiind of thinking to be from humankind ... and not from God.
